Dr Dawn Chong
Dr Dawn graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009, and spent 9 years practising in a busy vet clinic in the east, before joining Island Vet in late 2017.
Besides the obvious perks of the job (i.e. puppies & kittens), Dawn looks forward to building camaraderie with her patients' families. She has special interest in small animal internal medicine & surgery, as well as avian medicine. Outside of the clinic, she has worked on community projects with SPCA, Love Kuching Project, SOSD and elephant sanctuaries in Thailand.
On her days off, Dawn enjoys spending time nurturing an unhealthy level of attachment with her 2yo Congo African Grey parrot Pazuzu. She also has a beloved senior Golden Retriever Sally, and a dying vegetable garden.
