Elvie’s childhood was spent observing and caring for many kinds of animals, from cats and dogs, to livestock like chickens, pigs, and cows. This kind of lifestyle is common in the countryside when you live in the Philippines. Almost inevitably, her passion to care for animals pushed her to get a degree in Veterinary Medicine in Central Mindanao University, and her life has revolved around animals ever since. In her free time, she cares for her senior dog, a chihuahua named “Chief”. Elvie still loves to explore Singapore as she goes on long walks, and going out with her long-time friends. She loves life and will be exploring more of the world.
She has been in the veterinary industry for more than 30 years, from working in poultry and piggery farms, to exploring as an entrepreneurial veterinarian, to migrating to Singapore in 2002 and finally settling in the small animal practice as a veterinary nurse.
